Roller Coaster Ridin’ Santa To Depart Daily At
Pacific Park Amid Snow Flurries in Sunny Santa Monica

Lifelike Santa Claus set to charge through snow while leaving the
over-the-ocean coaster station this holiday season for guest ride-alongs and photo ops

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, riding Pacific Park’s coaster beginning Dec. 10-25, from 12 p.m. to close, at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier.

The roller coaster ridin’ Santa likeness will celebrate the holidays while riding in the last car of the West Coaster roller coaster. Guests have the opportunity to take photos with Santa while the train is in the station or ride-along as the coaster races 55-feet above the Santa Monica Bay. Santa will ride all day and night during Park hours as he makes his way over and through the two-acre amusement park delivering holiday cheer.

Along with Santa, a curtain of snow falls each time Santa departs the coaster station, creating a sense of holiday excitement for riders and guests in Pacific Park and on the Santa Monica Pier.

“Santa and snow are the perfect combination – even in sunny Santa Monica,” says Jeff Klocke, Director of Marketing and Sales at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. “Our goal is to create a one-of-a-kind holiday experience with these special additions accentuated by our unique seaside location.”

Admission to Pacific Park is free. Prices for individual roller coaster rides are $5 each. Pacific Park’s best value is the all-day wristband, providing unlimited use of rides, at $15.95 for guests 7 years and below and $21.95 for guests 8 years and older.

Pacific Park’s operating hours vary daily. To confirm park hours or for additional information, guests may call (310) 260-8744 or visit http://www.pacpark.com.

SnowMasters clients include Walt Disney World, Paramount, Sea World and more.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, LA’s only admission free amusement park, offers 12 amusement rides, 18 midway games and an oceanfront food plaza. Sunsets

By Tehmina Adaya/President & CEO of Hotel Shangri-La,

Santa Monica Sunset

Santa Monica Sunset

Most people who know me well, know that my daily walk is a ritual for me.  It is my medicine, my exercise, my period of zen: a walking form of meditation.  I avoid taking my phone with me or company and this is the time that I am alone with me myself and I to sort out my thoughts, feelings, ambitions, worries and emotions.  Of course it helps that I live in the most beautiful part of the world where the sunsets are breathtaking as the sun descends onto the Pacific Ocean.  Yes, I go for my walk every day on Palisades Park on the Bluffs of Santa Monica, where I can smell the salt in the air and hear the waves crashing!  One of my favorite things to do is to take sunset photos and here are some of my favorites:  some from Suite 700 at the Shangrila Hotel and some from my walks.  Enjoy!
