Beatrice Wood: Career Woman–Drawings, Paintings, Vessels, and Objects
Discover Beatrice Wood’s indomitable spirit and dynamic artistic force in this exhibition that features more than 100 drawings, paintings, and clay objects produced during Wood’s prolific 75-plus-years of art making. An artist who worked on both the East and West coasts and bridged gaps between areas as disparate as New York Dada and Southern California ceramics, Wood (1893-1998) was a vital contributor to the birth of the Los Angeles art scene and is thus a key player in the Pacific Standard Time project.

Free Santa Monica/Westside Pacific Standard Time shuttles
Free public shuttles will be available on Saturday, October 22 from 10 am to 6 pm for the Pacific Standard Time Santa Monica/Westside region. Visitors are invited to ride the complimentary transportation with stops at SMMoA and galleries in Bergamot Station Arts Center, the Sam Francis Gallery at Crossroads School, the 18th Street Arts Center, Ben Maltz Gallery at OTIS College of Art and Design, and the Getty Center. Free regional shuttles are supported by L.A. County Proposition A Local Return Funds, Santa Monica Cultural Affairs, and Big Blue Bus.

Pacific Standard Time Santa Monica Bike Tour
Peddle over to SMMoA for a bicycle tour of four Santa Monica Pacific Standard Time exhibitions. Hit the breaks for private walkthroughs at SMMoA, the Sam Francis Gallery at Crossroads School, Eames Office, and the 18th Street Arts Center. Required: Some cycling experience, a bicycle in good running order, helmet (optional but recommended), lock, and bike lights. Bike tour leadership is provided by Santa Monica Spoke, a regional chapter of the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition. Free Admission, space is limited, Registration required.
